[ASA] ADACS Merit Allocation Program - Deadline for 2024B EoIs is Friday May 3, 2024

The deadline for Expressions of Interest for the 2024B semester of the ADACS Merit Allocation Program (MAP) is Friday May 3, 2024; three weeks from today.

In addition: we are pleased to announce two great opportunities to access prioritised resources in the 2024B semester for projects related to the following:

  1.  HPC Projects: this is for projects with an emphasis on High Performance Computing (e.g. CPU optimisation; multithreading; distributed computing; etc.)
  2.  Research Translation Projects: this is for commercial or cross-disiplinary research projects.  If you have an idea for a new or existing codebase for which ADACS effort could enable or accelerate commercial or cross-disiplinary research opportunities, then this represents an excellent opportunity.

Wondering what the ADACS MAP is?  It is an opportunity to accelerate or extend the capabilities of your research program, offering all members of the Australian astronomy community (including students and postdocs) access to the following:

  1.  Bespoke training in skills related to software development, &/or
  2.  Dedicated software advice, development or design effort from skilled software engineers.

If interested, please lodge your interest as soon as possible.  Early submissions generally benefit from a more robust consultation phase.
