Year 2004 SeriesCoulomb Clusters in Dusty Plasmas Dynamics and StabilityPresenter: Alex Samarian Descriptions: It was shown that clusters of different dust sizes showed different stability behavior. Experimentally observed stability behavior agrees with theoretical predictions for small dust clusters, but in contradiction with theory for large dust clusters. Stable configuration of dust coulomb clusters is dependent on friction force (pressure). Elliptical shape is more preferable for stable cluster configuration. |
